Jeremy:

i have a computer with the AMD radeon HD 7670 graphic card and 16 GBs of ram and was wondering if when using the catalyst overdrive what is a safe level or if i can just put it on the max setting without worry.

Jayden:

Overclocking graphics cards, is generally not recommended. its wise to stick to the default settings, because tampering with the clocks can be dangerous. They make your graphics card get hotter quicker and require much more advanced cooling. They can also be overloaded and completely break. you need more power from your Power Supply unit too. Overclocking may give you more raw power. but it introduces more stability issues. if you're certain you want to overclock. look in to cranking up the fans, getting some good ventilation and looking around for recommended clock levels.
make sure your power supply has a good tolerance in wattage (having more than you need, for leeway for power requirements).

Overclocking is very advanced, and if you need to ask a question about it, then you shouldnt really be doing it. The recommended clocks and voltages are there for a reason. Its like the redline on a car engine. its there to alert of you overload and potential damage.

Here is a helpful guide on overclocking. It was written primarily about CPU's but the concept is similar and will teach you a lot.
